| This activity is a good starting point for QCA 1C Materials.
Children start by sorting a selection of materials into natural and non natural, thinking about their properties and uses. The day is then spent walking in the nature reserve (natural), and village (non natural) looking at uses of materials in houses and the church.
If time allows we could visit a working sand quarry, but this must be requested at time of booking.
