| Children are encouraged to work in teams creating their own version of a map, either focussing on the village, nature reserve or both. We then follow this map, giving children the time to investigate the area as we go, taking it in turns to work out which way to go!
If you would like your children to concentrate on compass directions we can offer a very simple pictorial orienteering course.
Trail making can combine easily with many of our other activities, e.g. follow the route to the pond/wood/Easter Bunny! or use the trail to discuss likes/dislikes and share opinions with fellow classmates.
