| This activity fits in well with QCA 4B Habitats, QCA 5B Life Cycles and QCA 6A Interdependence and Adaptation.
Our animal classroom, which houses exotic animals from most taxonomic groups, has seating for one class of children. We can cover many different learning objectives in this classroom, including habitats, food chains, life cycles, classification, using ID keys and adaptation.
The aim is to give children the experience of handling and observing live animals with care, consideration and respect, as well as giving an insight into the variety of life found on Earth.
As a half day session it combines well with any of our other activities, but equally it can be extended as a full day session with Key Stage Two.
