A pre-visit is essential before your first camp.

Try our indoor bunked accommodation in the two newly equipped heated blocks. Each block will sleep 20 pupils and 2 adults. You will need to bring a single sheet and a sleeping bag, we supply pillow cases. We suggest a pre-booked visit to view the facilities. (See Tariff and Photo pages)

Catering.
Self catering facilities, including a large freezer, refrigerator, six burner gas cooker, washing-up facilities and a dishwasher which are housed in kitchen, together with plates, cutlery, and cooking utensils. If you intend to prepare all your own meals, try to persuade other adults to come and cook for you - it’s hard work when you are on 24hr. duty, and, of course teams of children laying up and clearing pots also saves your energy so that you can enjoy the camp too. Other options include using the local facilities. We have negotiated with our two local pubs, within walking distance, who will make a dining room available. Obviously, both require booking well in advance. There is also a fish and chip shop and a pizzeria take-away a short drive away (Bawtry) , which will take orders over the phone for you to collect. We have a gas barbecue on site for the warm summer evenings. There is no additional charge for the use of the barbecue, providing it is left clean, if not there will a £10 charge for gas and cleaning

Activities
Camping is an experience that combines the academic and social development of children. All of the National Curriculum activities included in this web-site are available for camping groups. A Member of the Centre staff will tutor your class throughout the day. Not only will this, again, take some of the pressure off you, but will also ensure that the facilities we offer are being used to the greatest benefit for your children

In the evening there are local walks and the quarry to explore.
